Other Ways to Give

The SPCA Serving Erie County can receive donations through the following campaigns:

The SPCA is eligible to receive contributions through the United Way Donor Option program. To participate, request a Donor Option card from your company's United Way representative. (As a reminder, even if you designated a United Way contribution to the SPCA in the past, you must sign a new Donor Option card each year.)

Old CDs or DVDs Can Mean a Second Chance for SPCA Animals
Do you have any old CDs or DVDs in your house that are just collecting dust? Have you ever tried selling those old discs at a second-hand CD store, only to be told that they are unacceptable because they were too scratched, had missing or damaged artowkr, or because the store just wasn't interested in those titles? Well, don't throw them away yet! Visit DiscsforDogs.org to learn more about a free and convenient way to turn those old, useless discs into second changes for dogs and cats at the SPCA Serving Erie County. DiscsforDogs.org, run by Frizb's CD Exchange in Kenmore, will sell old discs and donate the proceeds to the SPCA. Donations can also be dropped off at the SPCA; we'll get them to Frizb's to be sold.

Brighter New York (TM) Partner program for Solar Schools & Nonprofits from solar liberty
The SPCA has a 30kW solar electric system on its roof. That produces about 31,000 kWh per year which saves the SPCA about $4,335 per year. The installation was completed in February 2009 and was paid for in part by grant from NYSERDA (74%) and a donation of services from Solar Liberty (26% of the cost). It was all done at no cost to the SPCA.
Now Solar Liberty would like to offer a $500 discount to any person connected with the SPCA who buys a solar energy system for their home or business. And, Solar Liberty will donate $500 to the SPCA Serving Erie County! Just visit their Web site for more details!
