YELP FOR HELP on WKBW-TV
Thursdays * 5 - 7 am * Good Morning, WNY
OUR YELP FOR HELP PATIENT: TRIXIE, a 3-month-old calico kitten who was abandoned at our door in August!
OUR PATIENT CAME TO US: ...with a fractured left front leg (hard to miss with that giant, purple bandage, huh?). Fortunately, because of her young age and because the leg wasn't completely shattered, we were able to splint the leg and watch, as she is still growing, to see that it is healing in the right direction, the right way.
YELP FOR HELP DONORS ARE HELPING US TREAT TRIXIE IN THIS WAY: In addition to the splint and all the initial and continuing Xrays and exams to ensure things are moving in the right direction internally, Trixie has been on pain meds and antibiotics! She has a bit of dietary upset as a result of the meds (just like some people!). Once we see she's eating normally and feeling better, we may be able to put this doll right up for adoption!
HOW YOU CAN HELP ANIMALS WITH EMERGENCY VETERINARY NEEDS: Become a Yelp For Help donor ! You can even become a YELP HELPER, giving on a monthly basis! To give by phone, call Nancy at the SPCA: 716-629-3532!
