Help the SPCA Serving Erie County dispel the misconceptions surrounding pit bull terriers once and for all. As any responsible owner knows, it’s not these sweet and loyal animals that are the problem, but rather a handful of self-serving and unethical breeders. In the right environment, pit bull terriers are naturally inclined to be wonderful pets, sure to steal your heart!

CALL A PIT BULL TERRIER YOUR OWN
When choosing your next pet, please consider opening your mind, your heart, and your home to a pit bull terrier. The pit bull terriers at the SPCA crave the same love, attention, and happy homes as any other pet and, like every dog who enters our doors, passes a stringent evaluation before being placed on the adoption floor. Ask any pit bull terrier owner…their dogs are trustworthy and beloved members of the family!

HELP US RAISE AWARENESS
For those of you who already call a pit bull terrier your own, show us that your dog was not bred to fight, but instead raised as a loving member of your family. Just download and print the sign and tell us what your pit bull terrier has been bred to do. Maybe they’ve been bred to give kisses, share an ice cream cone, or take up your side of the bed. Whatever the case, we want to see your lovable pit bull terrier in action!

Photos will be compiled into videos to be posted here on our website and into a PHOTO ALBUM ON OUR FACEBOOK WALL. Together, we can spread the truth about pit bull terriers!
