The SPCA Serving Erie County has received its eighth top honor from America's most well-respected charity evaluator.

Once again, the SPCA achieved the coveted 4-star rating for sound fiscal management from Charity Navigator. Charity Navigator, the country's premiere charity evaluator, highlights the fine work of efficient charities, and provides donors with essential information needed to give them greater confidence in the charitable choices they make.

This is the eighth consecutive 4-star rating for the SPCA, indicating that the SPCA Serving Erie County consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way.

According to Michael Thatcher, Charity Navigator president and CEO, "We are proud to announce SPCA Serving Erie County has earned our eighth consecutive 4-star rating. Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way. Only 2% of the charities we rate have received at least 8 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that SPCA Serving Erie County outperforms most other charities in America. This 'exceptional' designation from Charity Navigator differentiates SPCA Serving Erie County from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust."
